"Sometimes you look back on things and think things happen for a reason. Losing my brother Steve last week (aged 58) suddenly has been tough".
"I ran Preston parkrun on Saturday and it were brass monkeys (a bit chilly). I managed a really decent time. It was snowing and windy too. Probably gonna be the total opposite in London on Sunday".
"A massive thank you to those who've sponsored me so far. At first I was wondering if I'd reach the £350 required amount. I'm now thinking I may even reach £1000. What a feeling"...
Linda Walker is a late starter to this running malarkey and is constantly battling to bring her 'PB' (personal best) time down at her beloved weekly Park Run in Lancaster's Williamson's Park. Always conveying the real meaning of sport, she's ready to run London's Half-Marathon this Sunday after months of training to raise money for the Alzheimer's society.
A few days ago she received the tragic news that her brother Steve had died but Linda is an inspiration and will run knowing that he'll be with her to the finish line.
