Buses serve Bare village very well with the 3, the 3A and the 4 between Lancaster University and Heysham. Also, there's the very new and rathervhandy 33 Circular. Morecambe Bus Station via Central Drive, Queen Street, Euston Road, Lancaster Road, Branksome Drive, Ennerdale Avenue, Windermere Avenue, Westgate, Broadway, Beaufort Road, Strickland Drive, Lonsdale Road, Bare Lane, BARE, Hest Bank Road, Chestnut Drive, Oak Avenue, Hest Bank Road, Bare Lane, Princes Crescent, Marine Road East, Marine Road Central and Central Drive to Morecambe Bus Station.
There's a direct service from Lancaster to Bare Lane, Morecambe & Heysham Port for Steam Packet connections to the Isle Of Man. There are also 3 direct Leeds services without having to change (for other trains, not clothes). For the main timetable to get to Bare Lane click here
From the North or East, exit the M6 at Jct.33 and follow signs to Morecambe on the A6. Continue through Bolton-Le-Sands to the lights and right turn into the A5105 Coastal Rd. Keep going through Hest Bank and past Morecambe Golf Course on the left and you're in Bare. There you'll see Lakeland House; the tallest building around. The main Crescent of shops is a left turn at the foot of that building. SATNAV - LA4 6BY
From the South, exit from the M6 at Jct.34, turn right and follow signs to Morecambe. Keep to the right lanes. Over the river on the LEFT lane continue following signs to Morecambe past two roundabouts until you reach the main 'Shrimp' roundabout with a Toby restaurant on the left. You turn off the 3rd exit (right) that takes you to the B5275 and continues to Bare Village from there. The crossing barriers at Bare Lane Station have just been made automatic after 148 years and are usually down a

You'll find some smarter ways of cycling to our village from here. It costs a few breaths but you'll feel even better. In Princes Crescent opposite the shops (on The Green) we have a bike rack for you to use.
